To our Winship Students and Families,

I am sure that you have heard the announcements from the local and state officials that school buildings will be closed to students and staff through the end of the school year. While this announcement is deeply saddening, our community's safety is our first priority. Our staff at Winship Middle School miss their students and colleagues terribly. We feel a deep commitment to supporting you and your family during this difficult time. We also feel that our online distance learning model will provide the best possible learning outcomes for our students. In order to support families and students as we transition to online learning, staff has been making personal phone calls to ensure that families have what they need. We have loaned out almost 100 chromebooks to our Winship students who needed them. Our school district has boosted the school site’s wireless access into the parking lots at all of our schools. We continue to work with community partners to increase and bolster internet capabilities to our families. That being said, if you find that you are in need of any support to access our online learning platform, please contact our school office at 441-2487.

Please take care of yourself, your families and your neighbors. We look forward to the time when we can all be together again!

Sincerely,

Teri Waterhouse
Proud Principal at Winship Middle School
